Soo, posting this information was delayed. Sorry. This is just the bare bones, but it's enough that you guys will know what's going on and can act on it. The Boston plot with the mafia can assumed to be over at this point. Nikolai is dead, Jericho is AWOL, and Watts is in charge of Boston. We're going to move along.

The second plot is a forum wide scenario and isn't going to be confided to a few main characters. Everyone is going to be affected some way or another, but the primary species we're picking on is the shifters this time (as well as some vampire drama and possible werewolf scape goating).

To sum things up, Kochi's character, a tazzy tiger shifter named Wolfgang, runs a lab. He stumbled upon a disease that has a loving for shifters, and because of the aggressiveness of the virus, he brought it to the head vampire in New York, Kefka (also kochi's), who funds many of Wolfgang's experiments. Kefka tells him bad boy, lock it away and don't do it again. So Wolfgang does. Kefka then sends goons to break into the lab and release the virus because he wants to make money off an anti-virus. The lab is in Connecticut, and the disease spreads and festers in New York City.

If any of that is wrong, Kochi can correct me. They're her characters. I'm just tired of waiting and want this information up so people don't get bored and split the site because they have nothing to do.

No one in the public knows this happened. Everyone has to come up with their own theories. Have fun with paranoia and social fuck ups to make things interesting. Terrorists, government conspiracy, werewolves did it, whatever.

Here's the basics of the virus:

The disease is a virus spread through contact with bodily fluids - mainly saliva and blood. This main transfer is through biting with the virus going straight into the new host's bloodstream. However, the virus can also be spread through things like sharing drinking glasses, though it is more difficult to contract it this way.

A handful of shifters have a natural immunity to the virus.

Symptoms include:
- Irritability and Aggression
- Forced shifts, particularly when tired/weak/etc
- Degradation in sentience
- Getting 'stuck' half-way through a shift, causing every degree of being 'in-between'*, right up to what looks like sewer-dwelling freaks. This may also cause death depending on outcome. This is also the trademark sign of the virus.

*PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT AN EXCUSE TO PUT ANIMAL EARS OR A TAIL ON YOUR CHARACTER. THIS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. 'STUCK HALF WAY' SITUATIONS WILL BE PAINFUL AND DISGUSTING.

Those infected:
Only shifters suffer from the effects of this virus. Werewolves, because of their mutated genetics, are immune- they cannot carry it, they cannot be afflicted with it. Humans are also immune, but since most humans do not know shifters exist, they don't know that. As far as the human population knows, they're fair game. Vampires cannot be afflicted with the virus, but they can carry diseased blood if they drink from an infected, and they can transfer it if they bite someone else.

You, obviously, have a say if your character dies or not. This virus can be beaten with a natural immune system, but it causes a lot of complications and it's the complications that cause death. Cases can vary from slight to extreme. If we have to, the dead can all be NPC, though 'near death' situations will probably make things more interesting. There is no 'cure' as of right now!

The disease will move slowly at first and then pick up speed as it spreads. The main board, this time, is New York City. That doesn't mean it can't spread to Boston or outside the world, but NYC is the center point, like Boston was the center point last time.
